Hygienic Certificate
The sanitary-and-epidemiological expertise shall be carried out by the Rospotrebnadzor authorities (Federal Consumer Rights Protection and Health Control Service). Based on the tests, a sanitary-and-epidemiological report (hygienic certificate) is issued, which confirms the product safety for consumer health and environment. The necessity to carry out the sanitary-and-epidemiological expertise is determined by the Order of the Ministry of Health of the RF dated August 15, 2001 No 325 "About the sanitary-and-epidemiologic expertise of the products"; however, this document does not have clear reference to the Foreign Economic Activity Commodity Nomenclature code and sometimes does not unambiguously confirm the necessity of the hygienic certification. But all baby products, foods, clothes and household goods and the products that contact our skin and foods are subject to the hygienic certification.
